The Power of the Human Resource

The human resource is the greatest resource in an organisation. However, machines are treated better than them where they work. I attribute that to the little knowledge man has in respect of the human being that God created. 

Man is the highest creation of God with the totality of who He is fully vested in humans. Man was placed here to continue creation where God stopped. If Adam had continued to sleep on the floor without knowing that in the tree situated in the garden of Eden was bed, chairs and tables, we would have continued there on the floor without any of those. The first beings put those things on the face of the earth and continually, man has improved on those creations. Today we are seeing works of art, which are improvement of the early creation. That is what man is expected of God to do- create and innovate. Build and maintain the universe. The office place inclusive. In fact that's the designing place. Anywhere you produce whatever you exchange for money is your office. Kitchen for the caterer; Workshop for the carpenter and tailors; Salon for the head dressers etc.

The machines were made by man, to be operated by the same human beings not vice versa. So you can say machines were made by man for man. If man does not operate it intelligently, it will be "garbage in, garbage out". The human resource is the representative of God on earth to bring about God's desire on the face of the earth for his fellow man. He is to think up solutions to problems that fellow humans face and make them available for use. He is to create new things that will combat fresh challenges that show up. Man has in him the capability to invent new things and innovate old ones. The human resource is the greatest machine ever made. When well taken care of, it can last for good number of decades and still be productive. For those of you who have traveled out, you can attest to the advanced people you see out there who are still contributing their quota to their society at an advanced age. Helping to build their countries. Some after active work that empowered them to build their nuclear families, retire into social activities to build their communities. Showing you that, though they are retired, they are not tired out yet. 

The human body, apart from being a work of art, is an embodiment of wisdom and a collegiate of intelligence and prowess, with the capabilities of the divine being. People with this knowledge do not need to bang their heads on the floor nor tarry all night for these capabilities to manifest. They just move in that knowledge of who they have come to know they are and accept that they are to make their world into what they want. They simply create the world they desire from what already exists. Once more, I take you back to those countries that we all love and desire to travel to for holidays. Do you not sometimes think thus- what exactly are these people made off that they can create such a society for themselves. Especially, when you also observe that they are not as religious as we are- always in church, fasting and praying. However, they are obeying a key injunction of God "Occupy till I come". See the country they have created for themselves from the same resources available to all of us - mankind. I can rightly tell you that though they are not religious, however, they are spiritual. Read the EIGTH HABIT OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE by Stephen Covey to understand and make a demand on the spiritual side of your most important resource. These people in the developed world are in full occupation of their given space on earth. Consistently transforming things and the way things are done. Churning out new technologies every now and then. Man - the human resource is transforming the world. That is what God made the human being for. To have dominion, transform the garden with what is in it. The human resource was created to transform the face of the earth with available abundant materials.

No matter how exquisite your office is, it can not open itself. No matter how expensive the laptops in your office are, they can not operate themselves. You will have to depend on the human resource for the operational efficiency of these. Not just any human being, but one equipped to carry out the assignment, otherwise, you jeopardize the work-ability of either the building or the equipment.

Value your staff, They are the most important resource in an organization. Train them. 'If you don't train them, don't blame them'.
