AN UNRIPE RELATIONSHIP
These include platonic friendship between two or
more people, relations in the family and a
romantic frienship between a man and a woman.
Relationship in this context is an emotional or
sexual affair between a man and a woman. It’s
an act that every grown-up person must perform
in order to start a new family. This is mostly
seen as a step that precede marriage because
many people do skip courtship especially in
Nigeria.
An unripe relationship is a romantic friendship
between two people who are not fully prepared
or fully matured for marriage. This kind of
relationship mostly failed because both parties are
not ready for marriage. Many teenagers are into
lustfulness but they think they’re in relationship.
Most ladies lost their virginity at tender age
because of their ignorance about relationship.
They were tricked by adults who have interest in
tasting their fruits.
It’s no more news that unripe relationship is
common in the society. Secondary school students
are into it while students of tertiary institutions
are not left out. Many ladies are married at
school but they are single at home. Whereas
largest percentage of such relationship always end
after their programmes in school. In fact, guys
do call some ladies ‘opo alaye’ (widow of a
living man).
That is, ladies whose their boyfriends have left
school. Those ladies are called ‘opo alaye’
because their acclaimed relationship always end
when their boyfriends finished their programmes.
Some ladies are also ignored by their guys after
enough rounds of s*x because those guys want
fun not marriage. This kind of ladies are also
called ‘opo alaye’. Such ladies will now be
looking for another relationship after they’ve lost
their pride to unworthy guys.
Sometimes a lady will have a guy who doesn’t
ask for her body yet she won’t appreciate such
guy until she is take in by a game boy. This is
normally happen to ladies who are teenagers.
They don’t know the difference between love and
lust. All what they know is relationship without
proper orientation about it. I write this piece to
enlighten such people.
Platonic friendship is for teenagers while romantic
friendship is for adults who are ready for
marriage. A romantic friendship between two
teenagers is an unripe relationship which may lead
to unwanted pregnancy. Flee from fornication.
Shun lustfulness.
